In March 2006 Pastors Paul & Julia made a ministry trip to Manila Philippines with Barnabas Ministry Of Encouragement, part of the ministry was to the Squatters area in Sampaloc. We took with us a suitcase full of adult and childrens clothing very kindly donated by church members and other friends from outside of the church. As you will see from the pictures the is a very needy area indeed with up to nine people living in one of the small inadequate buildings at the side of the railway line. We were so touched by the things that we saw during our short visit that on our return to the u.k decided to put into operation a way of sending clothing and small soft toys etc to give some sort of help. Our first consignment consisting of nine tea chest sized cartons each containg a mixture of adult and childrens clothing and small toys was shipped out in November 2006. You can see some of these items being given out in the pictures below.
